This is oneof the most colorfull little ducks that hangs around the River Walk. His color makes him stand out among other ducks and is about half the size of the other ducks swiming.

Yes, Wood ducks are among the prettiest birds around. They almost disappeared because of over hunting for their meat and their colorful plumage for ladies hats. Thankfully they've made a big comeback and ladies don't wear hats anymore.
